Job summary

Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join a collaborative, growth‑oriented team in the United States.

You will develop mechanical and plumbing drawings and BIM models for military and government facilities, under licensed engineers, translating markups into coordinated documents. Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma; technical certificate or associate's degree in drafting/design or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience producing mechanical and plumbing (including HVAC) drawings using AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of reading blueprints/schematics and understanding codes related to HVAC and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office; Revit MEP proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and plumbing drawings and Revit/BIM models for new and renovated facilities, under licensed engineers.
• Turn engineering markups and calculations into clear construction documents.
• Coordinate models with other disciplines; identify and resolve clashes.
• Help prepare specifications, takeoffs, and cost estimates; draft RFI responses and submittal reviews.
