Job summary

Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our growing team. You will develop mechanical and plumbing drawings and Revit/BIM models for military and government facilities, under licensed engineers.

You will coordinate models with other design disciplines, help generate specifications and cost estimates, and respond to RFI reviews. We offer mentoring, career growth, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical certificate or associate's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience producing mechanical and plumbing drawings using AutoCAD.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and architectural drawings; HVAC and fire protection knowledge.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office; Revit MEP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and plumbing drawings and Revit/BIM models for military and government facilities under licensed engineers.
• Turn engineering markups into clear, coordinated construction documents.
• Coordinate models with other design disciplines; identify and resolve clashes.
• Help prepare specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Incorporate comments, draft RFI responses, and prepare record drawings.
