Job summary

Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join a growing national team. You will develop mechanical and plumbing drawings and BIM models for military and government projects under licensed engineers, turning markups into coordinated documents.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP preferred) and a solid understanding of HVAC/fire protection systems are required. We offer mentoring, competitive salaries, 401(k), and day-one medical insurance for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical certificate or associate's degree preferred in drafting/design.
• Experience producing mechanical and plumbing drawings using AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and architectural drawings with HVAC and fire protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and plumbing drawings and Revit/BIM models for government facilities.
• Turn markups into coordinated construction documents and help draft specs.
• Coordinate models with other disciplines and resolve clashes; assist with RFIs and submittals.
