We are seeking a Mechanical Designer / Designer-Detailer to support the design and development of custom industrial equipment and automated machinery. This individual will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, producing fabrication drawings, designing pneumatic systems, and collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to ensure successful project execution.

The ideal candidate possesses strong CAD experience, a practical understanding of mechanical systems, and the ability to translate concepts into accurate manufacturing documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and assemblies for custom industrial equipment and machinery.
• Develop pneumatic system layouts and related documentation.
• Create detailed fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings using CAD software.
• Generate and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers throughout project lifecycles.
• Support component sourcing and procurement activities by identifying and specifying appropriate parts.
• Troubleshoot design issues and participate in resolution of manufacturing or testing challenges.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, quality standards, and functional requirements.
• Assist with equipment installation, startup, and operational testing when required.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and quality documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing industrial equipment, machinery, or automated systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Experience creating detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical components, pneumatic systems, and machine design principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
