The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, an EIT, and a professional license, along with over 5 years of experience in commercial building design. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is required. This is a full-time position with site visits and teamwork essential to the role.

Mechanical Engineer Designer Candidate Requirements

Responsibilities

• Answer RFIs and review contractor submittals
• Capability to perform construction site visits as needed for site walk-throughs
• May be required to represent company in design meetings with Architect, Engineers, and Contractors

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit software using both 2D and 3D design

• Perform HVAC load calculations using Elite or Trane Trace software
• Able to work in a team setting and offer guidance to mechanical designers
• Able to manage mechanical and plumbing design projects and skill in writing specifications using Master Spec for small to medium size projects with minimal direction
• Proficient in Direct Expansion (DX) and Chilled Water HVAC system design
• Proficient in plumbing load calculations, pump sizing, pipe sizing, and hot water loop design
• Proficient in adherence to ASHRAE 62.1, ASHRAE 90.1, IMC 2021, UMC 2021, IPC 2021, and UPC 2021 Codes during design
