Job summary

Batesville Manufacturing, LLC in Batesville, IN, is seeking a hands-on engineer to design, build and improve tooling and fixtures for dies and presses. You will apply 3D CAD, develop drawings, and collaborate with toolmakers, maintenance staff, and suppliers to implement tooling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify tooling, fixtures, gauges, and machine components using 3D CAD.
• Develop drawings, BOMs and documentation for fabrication and implementation.
• Collaborate with toolmakers, maintenance, fabricators, and suppliers on tooling solutions.
• Evaluate tooling and equipment for improvement, standardization and cost reduction.
• Conduct annual die reviews and coordinate machinery installations or upgrades.
• Provide daily engineering support to maintenance and tool room

Performs preventative maintenance on small dies, from direction of senior associates. This position has the ability to work without supervision on PMs of large and small dies and has die troubleshooting skills.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong CAD skills who enjoys solving practical manufacturing problems and working closely with operators, technicians, engineers, and production leadership.
