Job summary

Batesville Manufacturing, LLC seeks a Maintenance Manager to plan, direct, and optimize plant equipment and facilities. You will lead a maintenance team, coordinate with quality and production, and drive preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or maintenance and 6+ years in maintenance leadership, with LEAN/CI experience and JD Edwards/AutoCAD skills. Travel ~5% is expected, and JD Edwards familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Maintenance or equivalent.
• Six or more years of related maintenance management experience.
• Experience with LEAN/CI initiatives preferred.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards and AutoCAD.
• Ability to travel approximately 5%.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
• Lead maintenance team; assign resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with quality, production, and engineering for preventive maintenance and overhauls.
• Manage computerized maintenance management system.
• Ensure safety policies compliance and training of staff.

You will be part of a family of highly committed associates who are passionate about our company, committed to our customers and excited about our future.IMMEDIATE ELIGIBILITY – Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as prescription coverage, short-term disability, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and more.Generous 401K Matching ProgramPaid time offOpportunities for development and advancementWhat You'll DoAccountable for all tool room and maintenance department activities conformity with established safety policies.Responsible for the assignment of resources to maximize productivity, along with the reduction for unplanned equipment downtime and the development of talent.Lead, direct, develop, and manage maintenance group leaders and associates engaged in mechanical, electrical/electronic repair along with the parts and materials area.Resource planning including project/work order materials availability, PPE, and work permits.Accountability for policy deployment metrics (i.e. safety, order fill rate, and lost cycles) along with root cause analysis and countermeasure recommendations.Interaction and coordination with quality, production and engineering to plan preventive maintenance programs/work orders and to schedule inspections and major overhauls.Manage the computerized maintenance management system.Review inspection and repair reports and observe progress of work on unplanned downtime and planned major overhauls to evaluate efficiency and work quality.Review technical drawings and other reference materials to select and recommend new supplies and maintenance methods to improve plant operation.Confer and assist contractors to resolve problems with the installation of new equipment.Directly supervises hourly, non-exempt, and/or exempt employees in the Maintenance Team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Other duties may be assigned.What You'll Bring:EducationBachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Engineering or Maintenance; and six or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills/ExperienceAbility to train, manage, lead, and/or understand LEAN or CI activities and initiatives preferredBasic Microsoft Office required.6+ years of management/supervision experience with an emphasis on scheduling, safety, project completion, and lost cycleExperience in a Union environment is preferredExperience in JD Edwards and AutoCADTravelEmployee must be able to travel 5% of the time.Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, the physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee.
