Job summary

Durr CTS Inc. seeks a seasoned Mechanical Design Manager to lead our mechanical design team, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality designs.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and effective project management across cross-functional groups. The ideal candidate will oversee detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and equipment selections while aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ECTR).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, manufacturing processes, and product development lifecycle.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Mechanical Design Team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and execute mechanical design strategies that align with company goals and project requirements.
• Oversee the creation and review of detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of design projects.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the design process.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present technical information clearly.
• Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and methodologies in mechanical design
