Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a student intern to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team in Buffalo. Under the supervision of a licensed engineer, you’ll support HVAC design tasks for educational, healthcare, commercial and science & technology markets, with potential to grow into a full-time entry-level role for strong candidates.

You’ll assist in duct and piping design, Revit/BIM modeling from Schematic Design through Construction Administration, review shop drawings, and help improve processes

Qualifications

• Enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under licensed engineer guidance, assist in HVAC design for buildings.
• Assist Revit/BIM modeling from Schematic Design to Construction Administration.
• Review and markup shop drawing submittals.
• Suggest ways to improve process, quality, and coordination.
• May visit job site to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
• May perform other duties as required.
