Job summary

Emerson is offering an internship/co-op role where you will work in both office and lab environments to support product design, testing, and development activities. You will design or modify products, assist with prototypes and testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to review designs.

The role emphasizes learning, initiative, and applying sound engineering practices to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
• Zero years of related experience
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person

Responsibilities

• Support product design, testing, and development activities in office and lab environments
• Design or modify products using engineering judgment and standards
• Assist with prototypes, lab and agency testing, and resolve technical issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers on technical matters and design reviews
• Recommend design and process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing capabilities
• Prepare and present test results, manage engineering changes, and support existing products
