Job summary

Merrick & Company invites a Mechanical Engineering student to join a paid Summer 2027 Internship in our Aiken, South Carolina office. The role offers hands-on experience across machine design, 3D modeling in CREO, and drawing creation, with exposure to client projects and NQA-1 quality requirements.

The internship runs mid-May to mid-August 2027 and includes collaboration with multiple disciplines, budget awareness, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have graduation date after August 2027.
• Pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher (undergrad) or currently enrolled in grad school.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in mechanical engineering including detailed machine design.
• 3D modeling in CREO and creation of drawings in CREO.
• Size mechanical commercial components and perform stress analysis.
• Exposure to piping systems, HVAC/Facilities design, and NQA-1 quality requirements.
