Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
As a Mechanical Design Engineering Co-op in the Mechanical Controls product line at Collins Aerospace, you will participate on a team to evaluate customer and subsystem hydraulic and/or pneumatic component requirements to generate compliant hardware designs for airframe and engine systems. Parts are designed to operate in fluid environments (fuel, oil, air), and function under challenging operating conditions. Designs are done by generating physics-based performance models (1D) and verified using CFD.
Designs are also analyzed structurally using FEA. Candidate will work within an integrated team that includes Project Engineering, Dynamic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Drafting, and Structures.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
