Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled designer to devise, develop, and modify tooling and equipment to meet manufacturing and customer requirements. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure reliable performance.

You will work on test equipment, dies, tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges, while performing training duties and supporting continuous improvement programs. Detailed records and adherence to safety standards are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with 4+ years in design applications for manufacturing tooling
• Bachelor’s or Associate in Mechanical Drafting, Tool Design or Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Devise and modify designs to meet manufacturing, engineering, or customer requirements.
• Design and develop complex test equipment, dies, tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Collaborate with all levels of the workforce and communicate with manufacturing managers and engineers
• Perform training duties
• Support plant machinery, equipment and manufacturing-related initiatives and programs (EH&S, quality, Lean)
• Maintain detailed task documentation, reports and records
