Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an experienced design engineer to develop and modify complex tooling, dies, gauges and fixtures for manufacturing. You will collaborate with manufacturing managers and engineers to ensure designs meet customer requirements and production standards.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed design documentation, performing advanced calculations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Design Applications in mechanical drafting or tool design
• Bachelor’s or associate in Mechanical Drafting, Tool Design or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college

Responsibilities

• Devise, develop, and modify designs to meet manufacturing, engineering, or customer requirements
• Design and develop testing equipment, dies, tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
• Collaborate with manufacturing managers and engineers across levels
• Perform training duties
• Support plant machinery, equipment, and manufacturing initiatives and programs
