Job summary

All World Machinery in Roscoe, IL seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to translate concepts into production-ready assemblies using SolidWorks while ensuring ISO-compliant documentation. You will own 3D modeling, drawings, and BOMs, and collaborate with teams to keep designs manufacturable.

You will support proposals with process plans/models and work with manufacturing to improve function and efficiency, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Technical school graduate or equivalent industrial design experience (BS a plus).
• 3+ years designing mechanical assemblies.
• CAD (2D/3D); SolidWorks preferred; GD&T proficiency.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving.
• Ability to meet deadlines; machining and process-planning knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design assemblies/components in SolidWorks.
• Create detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Produce clear assembly instructions and CAD documentation.
• Develop process plans/models and support proposals.
• Collaborate with assembly/manufacturing to improve function and efficiency.
