Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our Product Engineering Team.

You will design, develop, and improve skid loader and excavator attachments, creating 3D models, drawings, and documentation while supporting manufacturing, sales, marketing, and service. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical design skills, good communication, and a focus on safety, manufacturability, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of engineering experience preferred, with preference given to candidates with machine design, test design, hydraulic systems, or electro-mechanical design experience.
• Experience working with 3D CAD design software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and continuously improve technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Utilize company-standard 3D CAD software to develop models, drawings, and assemblies.
• Create and maintain detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials used in manufacturing.
• Develop engineering solutions that meet performance, safety, manufacturability, and cost objectives.
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity, durability, and product performance.
