Job summary

Morbark LLC, part of the Alamo Group family, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design and development projects for an array of forestry and biomass equipment. You will work hands-on with steel fabrication, engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and controls, driving innovations from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering; will consider related work experience.
• 1-3 years of design engineering experience, including internship or co-op.
• Proven ability to identify design requirements for applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned design and development projects from concept through completion.
• Collaborate with sales, production, service, and operations teams for technical support.
• Maintain and update prints to ensure configuration control of products.
• Pursue department objectives and drive continuous process improvement.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities for products and operations.
• Collaborate with other teams as needed.
