Job summary

Morbark LLC, part of Alamo Group, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Winn, Michigan. You will lead design projects for modifications and new development, working hands-on with fabrication, engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and controls to bring a broad product line to life.

You will collaborate with sales, production, service and operations, maintain configuration-controlled prints, and pursue continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of design engineering experience, including internships.
• Experience with improving design processes and documentation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with sales, production, service and operations to meet commitments.
• Maintain and update prints for configuration control.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and other teams.
