RMF Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Charleston, South Carolina office. The ideal candidate will have proven experience designing HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing mechanical systems in sectors such as education, public safety, hospitality, and healthcare, using software like AutoCAD and Revit.

Position Description: The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of the Buildings Mechanical design team, involved in all facets of commercial building engineering. Responsibilities include:

1. HVAC systems design
2. Plumbing systems design
3. Performance-based Fire Protection systems design
4. Code analysis
5. Energy modeling
6. Lab/Medical gas systems
7. LEED/Green Globes documentation
8. Life cycle cost analysis

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• BS Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university
• 1-3 Years of Mechanical Experience
• Minimum of 1+ years experience in design
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office software
• HVAC systems design experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIT Certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
