Job description

RMF Engineering, Inc has an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Charleston, South Carolina office with proven experience designing HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing mechanical systems in the education, public safety, hospitality, and/or healthcare market sectors using software systems such as AutoCAD and Revit.

Position Description:
The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of the Buildings Mechanical design team in all facets of commercial building engineering. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for tasks including:

1. HVAC systems design.
2. Plumbing systems design.
3. Performance-based Fire Protection systems design.
4. Code analysis.
5. Energy modeling.
6. Lab/Medical gas systems.
7. LEED/Green Globes documentation.
8. Life cycle cost analysis.

Required Qualifications:

1. BS Engineering Degree from accredited college or university.
2. 1-3 Years of Mechanical Experience.
3. Minimum of 1+ years experience in design.
4. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office software.
5. HVAC systems design experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. EIT Certification.
2. Professional Engineer (PE).
3. Strong work ethic and solid organizational skills.
