Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for traffic safety and roadway solutions near Austin, TX. The role requires mechanical design experience, proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, and knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product testing, and documentation.

This is a direct hire, permanent position with standard hours of 8am to 4pm and a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 per year. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, and the location is North Austin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, CREO, SolidWorks or equivalents).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and continuously improve traffic safety and roadway solutions.
• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and documentation using CAD tools.
• Support full product lifecycle from concept to production launch and sustaining engineering.
• Develop manufacturable, cost-efficient products meeting customer and standards requirements.
• Assist production by troubleshooting design, assembly, and manufacturing challenges.
