Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; master's preferred.
• 3–5 years in mechanical design and manufacturing, with manufacturing plant experience preferred.
• Proven experience with SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Product Center, or equivalent ERP/PDM systems.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems and compressed air pneumatic systems (preferred).
• Experience with lean manufacturing and transitioning designs to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical components and systems for reliability and manufacturability.
• Create and maintain SolidWorks models and drawings.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate designs.
• Create BOMs and routers in ERP/MRP (NetSuite preferred).
• Utilize PDM systems for managing design documents and data.
• Create detailed work instructions, training materials, and procedure sheets for production teams.
• Design and conduct validation and verification testing for electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Prototype, test, and iterate designs from concept to production.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet project timelines and support process improvements.
• Create product specifications, select raw materials, and oversee component procurement for production.
• Provide technical documentation and assist in project management for various engineering projects.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
