Job summary

Cranston Machinery Co. Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to assist in concept and design of machinery across industries, coordinating engineering projects from plan to completion.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and design integration with mechanical and control systems, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company standards. Responsibilities include staffing coordination, delivering design documents, and providing progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 4–10 years' related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials and technical procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet customers and project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements projects and designs, including defining scope, milestones and budget conformance.
• Develops and maintains schedules and budgets for assigned engineering projects.
• Provides status reports on milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.
• Identifies staffing requirements and coordinates with managers.
• Coordinates preparation and delivery of design documents and bid packages.
• Oversees project personnel through phases of design, specifications and testing.
• Ensures design compliance with engineering principles, standards and contract requirements.
• Interfaces with customers to provide status reports and ensure needs are met.
