Teklabs Inc. in Boston seeks a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to lead production tooling development for our Lighting Sources platform.

You will partner with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to design, validate, and implement tooling solutions for efficient, high-quality production operations. The role focuses on mechanical assembly tooling and electro-mechanical test fixtures used in a factory setting, from concept through production, with opportunities to prototype and

Competenze

Associate degree in a related technical field.
5+ years experience as an individual contributor.
Proficiency with Creo or equivalent 3D CAD software.
Experience with plastics, fasteners, adhesives, and mechanical assembly design.
Ability to take designs from concept through production.
Experience creating drawings and performing tolerance analysis.
Hands-on prototype and test fixture experience.
Ability to travel up to 12% to Austin, TX and Chihuahua, Mexico.

Mansioni

Design and develop production tooling from concept through production implementation.
Create mechanical assembly tooling and electro-mechanical test fixtures.
Develop 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation.
Perform material selection, tolerance analysis, and design reviews.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing engineers.
