Job summary

KRAFT ENERGY SYSTEMS INC is seeking a mechanical design engineer to develop and improve products. You will create models, drawings, and BOMs, and address feasibility, optimization, and production challenges while ensuring costs, margins, and release dates are met.

The role requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and strong communication skills; travel is occasionally needed. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Three years of industry-related experience.
• Three years’ experience in SolidWorks.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes, materials, programming software, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Originate and develop designs for products per defined project specifications.
• Create mechanical models and drawings of the product line.
• Create mechanical bill-of-materials for product design.
• Evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design evaluation/optimization, and production issues.
• Meet project costs/margins and target release dates.
• Understand lean manufacturing concepts and initiate process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
