Entrust Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to collaborate with engineering, machinists, assemblers and programmers on world-class manufacturing equipment.

The role involves designing complex components, detailing assemblies, and preparing bills of materials using up-to-date 3D software. Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably machine design.
• BSME preferred; associate degree with relevant experience will be considered.
• SolidWorks experience preferred; training possible with other 3D CAD.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing.
• Experience in power transmission design, hydraulics, automation, fixture design, bearing and ballscrew selection.
• Organized, detail oriented with strong time management.
• Self-directed with excellent work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with UNISIG core values and 2D CAD basics incl. AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Generate cost-effective and simple-to-manufacture concepts.
• Turn concepts into fully detailed, functioning designs.
• Select power transmission and other purchased components.
• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and bills of materials.
• Understand detailing of precision components including tolerances.
• Manage time to complete projects in a timely manner.
