Techtronic Industries is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Ryobi Outdoor Products Advanced Engineering team in Anderson, SC. You will turn early concepts into validated, manufacturable mechanical systems and drive tests to prove key assumptions before formal development.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mechanical design, strong NX/SolidWorks skills, and experience with prototyping and data-driven design. Travel ~5–10% domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in mechanical design within product development or advanced engineering.
• Experience building prototypes, test plans, and data-driven design.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced mechanical concepts for next-gen outdoor power equipment.
• Create mechanisms, structures, and assemblies balancing performance and manufacturability.
• Use first-principles, simulations, and test data to guide design decisions.
• Build and test functional prototypes to validate key assumptions and reduce risk.
• Translate concepts into production-minded designs for downstream teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
