Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in mechanical design for product development or advanced engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD (NX/SolidWorks) and design fundamentals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel 5-10% (domestic/international).

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced mechanical concepts for next-generation outdoor power equipment.
• Create mechanisms, structures, and assemblies balancing performance, durability, manufacturability, cost, and UX.
• Use first-principles analysis, hand calculations, simulation, benchmarking, and test data.
• Build, test, and iterate functional prototypes to validate key assumptions.
• Define system requirements, operation methods, design trade-offs, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate concepts into production-minded designs for downstream teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, and Quality.
• Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support project planning with milestone definitions and risk assessments.
