Job summary

Danfoss Turbocor is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of the oil-free centrifugal compressor platform, from customer requirements to product implementation. You will define requirements, validate concepts, and deliver integrated compressor designs while ensuring manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5 years experience in mechanical engineering design and development.
• 5 years experience with CAD and GD&T.
• 3 years experience with material selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly methods.
• 2 years experience with structural and thermal analysis using FEA.

Responsibilities

• Develop new platforms for oil-free centrifugal compressor products from requirements to implementation.
• Define requirements and implement for integrated compressor designs.
• Model component and system designs and create 2D drawings.
• Perform component-level analysis and ensure lifecycle management standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for manufacturability and serviceability.
• Support certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, UL and CE and safety guidelines.
