Job summary

H3X Technologies is seeking a mechanical design engineering intern to support the HPDM product line. This role carries full responsibility of a mechanical design engineer within a small, fast-paced team and ownership over your parts from concept to execution.

Expect hands-on design with SolidWorks, analysis, drawings to ASME/GD&T, prototyping, testing, and collaboration with manufacturing. We’re targeting Spring interns with potential extended Co-Op periods and future Summer roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Hands-on experience assembling mechanical systems.
• SolidWorks proficient (or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Exceptional understanding of fundamentals.
• Action biased, results-driven mentality.
• Willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Establish and document requirements for concepts and designs.
• Conceptualize designs and product architectures meeting program needs.
• Design parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and document drawings.
• Perform mechanical analyses (hand calcs, FEA, CFD) for structural, thermal, and fluid aspects.
• Create and present design reviews and validation plans.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, and integration with manufacturing.
