Job summary

Compass Systems and Sales, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to research, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products. The role involves directing fabrication, installation, and testing to ensure compliance with specifications and customer needs.

You will design systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, and heat transfer components, while coordinating with engineering personnel for testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of related experience; combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and leadership and planning abilities.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Researching and analyzing design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility.
• Designing products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, and machines.
• Directing fabrication and testing methods for engineering products and systems.
• Coordinating fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities to meet specs.
• Interfacing machines, hardware, and software in design solutions.
• Evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications.
