Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to contribute to the design of electro‑mechanical medical devices and sterile disposables. You will create component and assembly designs, write specifications, perform analyses, and help transfer designs to manufacturing.

The role requires a BS in mechanical engineering, 3+ years of experience, familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks preferred), FEA, tolerance analysis, and knowledge of regulated medical devices.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with finite element analysis, tolerance analysis, and GD&T.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; technical writing abilities.
• Experience in regulated medical device industry.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, prototypes, measures, and tests mechanical components for electro-mechanical medical devices and disposables.
• Collaborates with project members and product managers to create manufacturable, serviceable designs.
• Documents specifications, verification tests, schedules, CAD models, and change orders.
• Direct outside contractors as needed to complete tasks and ensure timely delivery.
