Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop basic to moderate complexity chassis and related components. The role involves gathering requirements, performing design analyses, and collaborating with senior engineers on design modifications and improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on design and verification experience, with proficiency in 3D CAD and FEA tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in Mechanical Engineering (BSME/MSME) or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in mechanical design and verification.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information related to chassis/mechanical design and suggests improvements.
• Develops chassis designs and PCB mechanical layouts using 3D CAD tools.
• Works with system architects to review requirements and architecture.
• Analyzes moderately complex mechanical designs and recommends improvements.
• Assembles chassis prototypes under supervision and checks fit/form/function.
• Coordinates with external suppliers/manufacturers.
