Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop basic to moderate complexity chassis designs and implement or modify reference designs under management guidance. This role involves creating chassis subsystem designs, performing basic analyses, and collaborating with system architects to ensure requirements are met.

You will also assemble prototypes, verify fit/form/function, and work with suppliers and manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years experience in mechanical design/verification.
• Experience with chassis design and PCB mechanical layouts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop chassis design and PCB mechanical layout using standard 3D CAD tools.
• Evaluate design requirements with system architects to clarify architecture.
• Design and evaluate chassis subsystems; analyze moderately complex designs.
• Assemble chassis prototypes under supervision and verify fit/form/functionality.
• Coordinate with external suppliers/manufacturers.
