Job summary

3MD Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design and analyze mechanical systems and automation equipment in an industrial setting. You will create 3D models and BOMs, troubleshoot issues, and support fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.

The role emphasizes mentoring, adherence to safety standards, and collaborative work with operations and engineering teams to deliver reliable mechanical solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation.
Familiarity with PDM/PLM tools and workflows.
Experience with conveyors, pneumatics or automation equipment is preferred.
Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Independently design mechanical assemblies for small to mid-sized projects.
Develop 3D models, drawings, and BOMs according to standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and analyze performance issues.
Support fabrication, FAT/SAT, and field integration.
Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and scope definition.
Provide mentoring to engineers and technicians.
Ensure compliance with safety codes and engineering practices.
