Job summary

Shure is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, implement, test and integrate real-time multitasking software for professional audio products. You’ll contribute to architecture and design while collaborating across engineering disciplines.

Hybrid work from our Niles, IL office. Requirements include a BS in CS/EE, 5+ years of experience, strong C/C++ with OO design, RTOS experience (Embedded Linux/FreeRTOS/VxWorks), networking knowledge and experience with version

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; MS a plus.
5+ years of experience in embedded software.
Strong C++/C OO design skills.
Experience with Ethernet/IP/TCP/UDP and wireless protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and test embedded software for audio products.
Develop hardware drivers and embedded software components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product architecture and software design.
Estimate, organize and document tasks; follow software development methodologies.
Model designs using UML or similar; develop real-time system use cases.
Review code and perform unit/integration testing.
