Job summary

Amphenol Corporation, a world leader in interconnect solutions, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Hampton, NH location. You will design connectors and assemblies, generate detailed drawings, and support production and R&D with test data and fixture designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years of experience preferred, and proficiency in SolidWorks with strong GD&T skills and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and capable of creating detailed drawings.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical prints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Collect design requirements with Sales and arrive at an approved socket or connector design.
• Provide technical support to Sales and Applications Engineering.
• Generate detailed drawings for machine shops.
• Assist Production with troubleshooting assembly.
• Gather test data to support R&D activities.
• Select seed design or start from scratch to satisfy requirements.
• Support Production with fixture designs as needed.
• Identify deficiencies and develop improvement solutions.
