Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Senior Associate, Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing electro-mechanical systems and ensuring that designs meet technical requirements and schedules. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, or 6 years of equivalent experience.

The ideal individual will have knowledge of CAD software, particularly Siemens NX, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. The role also requires the ability to obtain a security clearance for work on defense technology projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Electro-mechanical packaging and design.
• Modification of existing and/or creation of new designs.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings of electro-mechanical designs.

Skills

Basic knowledge of CAD - Siemens NX

Excellent communication skills

Familiar with open standards: VITA, VME, PMC, ASME Y14.5-2018
