Job summary
Keystone Distinction Group in Memphis, TN seeks a Design Engineer to lead the design and development of new products for the electric power industry and oversee engineering activities for existing products. You will craft part and assembly designs, prepare drawings and specs, and ensure specifications meet technical and functional requirements. A strong background in 3D modeling and manufacturing processes is required.
Qualifications
2-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Proficient with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks or ProE).
Understanding of manufacturing processes (casting, molding, machining, forming, extruding, etc.).
Responsibilities
Develop new product part and assembly designs, drawings and specifications.
Evaluate and recommend specifications and ensure products meet the technical and functional requirements.
Review and analyze proposed product changes.
Perform feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs.
Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and calculations.
Manage prototype development and testing.
Facilitate creation and approval of Engineering drawing changes.
Recommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures.
Write test reports for internal use and for publication.
Work with engineering staff to meet milestones and timelines.
Provide technical support for Field Sales personnel.
