Job summary

PTR-Precision Technologies, Inc. in Enfield, CT is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering department. You will design subassemblies, create layout and detail drawings, and develop Bills of Materials to support EB weld equipment manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong SolidWorks skills, and the ability to collaborate across design, shop, and proposals. Experience with weldment, sheet metal design is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• SolidWorks and CAD proficiency required.
• Experience with weldment, sheet metal design is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analysis and design calculations for subassemblies.
• Create layout and detail drawings; develop Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with shop personnel to resolve design/build issues.
• Interface with design, drafting, Electrical Engineering, and Sales teams.
