Job summary

Leidos Defense Rapid Integration and Prototyping Department is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and influence technologies for DoD customers. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to create functional designs and produce technical data packages per ASME Y14 standards.

Requirements include a BS in engineering with 4+ years (or MS with 2+ years), 3+ years in design/analysis of mechanical systems and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering with 4+ years of experience or Masters degree with 2+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of applicable experience in design and/or analysis of mechanical systems including technical data package production per ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5.
• Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Secret clearance.
• Sets an example of work ethics and culture for the team
• Follows through on commitments

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be responsible for creating functional designs and working within multi-discipline teams to develop and execute challenging tasks.
• The candidate will produce technical data packages including part drawings, assembly drawings, source control documents, and interface control documents per ASME Y14.
