Job summary

Leidos Defense is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and influence critical technologies for DoD customers. You will create designs and develop data packages that include part and assembly drawings, source control, and interface control documents per ASME Y14 standards.

The role requires collaboration across disciplines and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Primary responsibilities include producing functional designs and leading multi-disciplinary tasks, with a focus on

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering with 4+ years of experience or Masters with 2+ years.
• 3+ years of design/analysis of mechanical systems with DP per ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• 4+ years of leadership experience (preferred).
• Sets an example of work ethics and follows through on commitments.

Responsibilities

• Create functional designs and work within multi-discipline teams to develop and execute challenging tasks.
• Produce technical data packages including part drawings, assembly drawings, source control documents, and interface control documents per ASME Y14.
