Job summary

GENESYS Systems Integrator seeks a Design Engineer to drive the fabrication and detailing of custom mechanical equipment from concept through installation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to ensure accurate, high-quality mechanical designs and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong AutoCAD and Inventor (or SolidWorks) skills, a solid understanding of fabrication processes, and willingness to travel for site visits and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or 5+ years' experience, or equivalent combination.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Inventor 2015 or higher; SolidWorks acceptable in lieu of Inventor.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of mechanical mechanisms and machine design, including pneumatic or hydraulic drive packages.
• Ability to design equipment based on project specs and scope.
• Ability to coordinate with controls/electrical engineering and incorporate electrical control requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 20-30% for field measurements and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Create fabrication detail drawings and installation layouts based on project scope, specs, and estimates.
• Design mechanical equipment per project scope and standards.
• Incorporate customer, local, state, and national codes and safety regulations into drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical/controls requirements for mechanical design and describe operation.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors for purchase and fabrication.
• Coordinate with other GENESYS departments to ensure project success.
• Self-check drawings for thoroughness and accuracy.
