Responsibilities

• Develop new equipment and standardize existing machine designs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure machines meet specifications.
• Lead or facilitate technical design reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Apply critical thinking to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Generate ideas to improve equipment, processes, and outcomes.
• Work with suppliers and Applied partners.
• Contribute to projects impacting communities in nearby MN metro.

Employees working in Fargo, ND have a short commute from West Fargo, Moorhead, Dilworth, and Horace and will enjoy professional growth and community engagement through our regional presence in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

• Develop new equipment and standardize existing machine designs
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting support for manufacturing and assembly issues
• Improve and update current product lines using new tools, materials, and lessons learned
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure machines are built to specification
• Lead or facilitate technical design reviews to support knowledge sharing and peer development
• Apply critical thinking to resolve complex technical challenges independently
• Generate innovative ideas to improve equipment, processes, and engineering outcomes
• Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
• Contribute to projects that impact communities in West Fargo, Moorhead, Dilworth, and Horace, and the greater Fargo, ND metro

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required
• 4+ years of machine design experience using Creo
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment and initiative
• Strong problem‑solving skills for complex technical challenges
• Experience collaborating across business functions and contributing to team success
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  
  

ESTIMATED PAY RANGE

Engineer I: $34.62–$40.38/hour

Engineer II: $38.46–$44.23/hour

Engineer III: $43.27–$49.04/hour

Senior Engineer: $46.63–$53.85/hour

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. Paid overtime may be available.
