Sapphire Recruitment Pty is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading manufacturer near the Binghamton, NY area. The role focuses on creating and revising mechanical designs and drawings, ensuring form, fit, and function through dimensional analysis, and supporting prototype testing.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 1–3+ years of experience with electro-mechanical products, plus proficiency with Creo or similar CAD tools.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3+ years of work experience or co-ops/internships.
• Experience with electro-mechanical products.
• Experience with designs, layouts, and specifications.
• Exposure to manufacturing and prototype support.
• Proficient with Creo or other 3D CAD tools.

Responsabilidades

• Create and revise mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings.
• Ensure form, fit, and function through dimensional analysis.
• Support sample builds, testing, and customer prototypes.
• Collaborate cross functionally to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide engineering input for cost estimates and product requests.
