Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, part of PACCAR, seeks an engineer at the Denton plant for design, development, and production support in Cab & Sleeper Structures and Interiors. You will work on new development programs from concept to implementation, providing engineering assistance, assembly design, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities include design research, analysis, supplier coordination, and applying Creo/Windchill tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and initiate designs of a complex nature and conduct necessary research incidental to design.
• Complete design projects through planning, concept development, calculation and design analysis, design, testing, evaluation, and implementation.
• Handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Coordinate and complete projects and design efforts with other engineering groups and departments within the company.
• Apply knowledge of stress analysis and FEA.
• Apply knowledge of various materials and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare engineering activity status reports and other detailed reporting as directed.
• Up to 10% travel is to be expected.
