Job summary

PACCAR's Peterbilt Plant in Denton, Texas is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support Cab & Sleeper Structures and Interiors design. You will contribute to new development programs, provide engineering assistance, and help bring ideas from concepts to implementation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Creo and Windchill. Travel up to 10% is expected; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and initiate designs of a complex nature and conduct necessary research incidental to design.
• Complete design projects through planning, concept development, calculation and design analysis, and implementation.
• Handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Manage supplier activities related to design and manufacture of components.
• Apply knowledge of stress analysis and FEA.
• Apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate projects with other engineering groups.
• Prepare engineering activity status reports as directed.
• Identify and coordinate resolution of production, production control, and Quality Assurance issues.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
