Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking an engineer to set part specifications and manage drawing issues for high-quality, cost-effective parts across the product lifecycle.

With guidance, you will develop 3D models, create and issue drawings, perform cost calculations, and collaborate across engineering, purchasing and suppliers to optimize design for manufacturing while meeting schedules and budget constraints. Travel to suppliers or Honda plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• 3D parametric modelling using CAD.
• Drawing creation and dimensioning.
• Cost calculation and design optimization.
• Design for manufacturing consideration of processes.
• Ability to analyze tolerance stack up.
• Cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule planning and reporting from concept to mass production.
