Job summary

New Deantronics in Sparks, NV is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to drive mechanical design and development from concept to transfer. You will create SolidWorks models, drawings, and BOMs while evaluating materials and prototyping for performance and manufacturability.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in mechanical design/automation, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor), and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design and automation engineering.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical design and development of products, components, assemblies, and interfaces from concept through design transfer.
• Create and maintain SolidWorks models, drawings, specifications, tolerances, and bills of materials.
• Support material selection, prototyping, tolerance analysis, benchtop testing, and evaluation of product performance.
• Apply design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principles; assist in developing test fixtures and tooling.
• Support design control activities, including design inputs/outputs, reviews, verification, and documentation.
• Investigate mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support project execution.
• Support design transfer activities with assembly requirements and work instructions.
