Shape the future of product innovation as a Design Engineer who transforms concepts into reality within the off-highway vehicle and aviation industries in Moberly, MO (about 30 min north of Columbia, MO).

Position Summary

A Design Engineer responsible for leading front-end product development, defining specifications, and bringing innovative solutions to life. You'll work collaboratively from concept to production, balancing creative design with technical requirements to meet both customer-specific needs and market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new product development (80% of role) from blank-sheet concepts through completion
• Create and refine designs using advanced CAD systems (70% of daily work)
• Apply engineering principles to develop springs, stress analyses, and material selections
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other engineering calculations
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in a group design environment
• Partner with test labs for screen testing and DV&P testing
• Work hands-on with prototype technicians to validate designs
• Assist with field issues and improvements to existing products as needed
• Develop product specifications and requirements, often early in the customer engagement
• Ensure all designs meet safety-critical standards and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience
• Strong passion for innovation and product development
